The initial S decorated with foliate ornament begins the Introit of the Votive Mass of the Virgin. Scene, Sports and Games: Jousting—In a border framing the text, two soldiers joust. They wear armor and are on caparisoned horses. From a viewing stand with a wreath, two women look on.
