Within a garden enclosed by a wall, a nimbed and crowned Catherine of Alexandria tramples a crowned Maxentius. She holds a sword in her right hand and a scepter in her right hand. Behind her is a patterned hanging.
The scene is framed by a border decorated with flowers, including columbine and roses, and inhabited by an owl in the lower border.
