The style of the miniature is closely related to a triptych (P21) in a New York private collection, for which see William Voelkle, assisted by Roger S. Wieck, The Spanish Forger (New York: 1978), p. 26, fig. 7. The present leaf is "L267" in Voelkle's ongoing catalog. Unlike most of the forger's work, the verso is blank, and seems not to be painted on reused vellum taken from choir books.
