Anonymous etching in reverse, possibly by an artist from Rembrandt's workshop (previously attributed to Rembrandt, and later to Ferdinand Bol or Karl van der Pluym).
Closely trimmed.
Etching by unknown pupil of Rembrandt. (White and Boon)
J. Six has suggested that this is a retouched plate; Münz as Bol. Modified copy of B 343. Probably by an early pupil, like Van der Pluym; compare also "Old Man on deathbed" (related to the picture in the Musée Royaux at Brussels, cf. prints not mentioned by Bartsch II El., e). (White and Boon)
