A third set of lines, consisting of a few short horizontal lines, has been added to the shadow between the left sleeve and the screen. The shadow on and under the right sleeve have been strengthened and differ in shape slightly from those in the previous state. The shading of the upper part of the background is almost wiped out.
Probably further state than White and Boon II.
The etching is backed with a thin Japanese paper.
Wide margins of 20-21.5 mm at the bottom; 15-16.5 mm at the top and the sides.
Inscriptions/Markings
Signed and dated center right, "Rembrandt f 1641".
