Print shows Edmund Burke, wearing a Jesuit's biretta, in the act of strangling the figure of Liberty with a thin cord; Liberty lies semi-prone with her head thrown back, holding a pole topped with a bonnet rouge in one hand and a copy of "History of the French Revolution" in the other.
