Summary
Social satire; a well-dressed, haughty gentleman, with a tricorn hat under his arm, carrying a book entitled "Burke on the French Revolution", a newspaper labelled "Capture of the French King" in his pocket; on the floor is the insignia of the order of the garter, around which is written "Sacred to the National Assembly."
