Print shows the interior of a throne room with an empty throne visible in the background; the body of a king is laid out on a table with his head on a bolster and a crown beside him; he is surrounded by figures, including a man in clerical garb who stands at center directly behind the table, wiping his eyes with a handkerchief, with a crown suspended over his head. He is flanked by two men, one of whom (at left) plays a harp and wears a papal tiara which is shown falling from his head.
