13 signed drawings in bound album, the individual drawings in hinged mats mounted on stubs, with letterpress title page and letterpress guard leaves.
Collection of 13 drawings by Louis Legrand, including 11 drawings for etchings which appeared as illustrations in Erastène Ramiro's Cours de danse fin de siècle (Paris : E. Dentu, Éditeur, 1892); also included is a drawing for Legrand's etching "Le Salut Militaire" (Arwas 72) which reproduces the figure from the tailpiece vignette on page 59 of the volume, and an additional drawing entitled "Le cavalier seul".
The 11 designs which illustrated Erastène Ramiro's Cours de danse fin de siècle were also reproduced, along with Ramiro's text, as illustrations in the May 10, 1891 supplement of the periodical "Gil Blas illustre", where the piece appeared under the title "Les excentricités de la danse."
Individual drawings comprising this album have been cataloged separately (see TMP 2023-96.7:1-13).
