Collection of 57 proofs of wood engraved illustrations by W.J. Linton, individually mounted on leaves of a bound album measuring 200 x 145 mm; included are signed or initialed wood engravings after illustrations by Kenny Meadows for George Pardon's Whist : its history and practice and Richard Doyle for Dickens's The chimes, including a proof of what appears to be a variant version of the illustrated margin for the chapter heading for the "Third quarter", as well as cuts after T. Creswick, W.B. Scott, J. Gilbert, and others.
