Boxed set of two complete decks of J[ulia] P. W[ightman]'s personalized playing cards. Each comprising four suits: spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs in addition to one joker and one instruction card for the game of bridge. The back of the cards are decorated with a trompe l'oeil image of a leather bound book, one deck green, the other one brown, edges gilt and 'JPW' in center.
"Distress call. "Butch," wails Junior over the phone last night, "come over and help me with these darn 'rithmic problems." "Why", I inquire, "should the gardener's boy do your homework?" "He's a whiz at numbers," says my prize heir, "on accound of how his family plays cards a lot." "We'll fix that," says I.
