"One hundred & seventy-five of Zapf's Civilité Disclosed were printed by The Gehenna Press during the hot Summer of 1995. The types were cast by Harold Berliner of Nevada City, Calif. Arthur Larson of Hadley, Mass. composed & printed the book on Magnani, an Italian mould-made paper. The book has been handsomely hand-bound by Claudia Cohen of Easthampton, Mass."--Colophon.
"The edition is arranged as follows: Copies numbered 1-25 are printed on Arnold Vellum, an English paper, hand-made in the 1950's & contain a woodcut portrait of Hermann Zapf signed & numbered by the artist [Leonard Baskin] and a set of pages alternately achieved on Magnani. Copies numbered 26-175 comprise the regular edition. All copies are signed by the former of these designs, Leonard Baskin"--Colophon.
Library's copy is numbered 9, one of twenty-five with Baskin's woodcut portrait of Zapf laid in, and a separately bound volume of impressions printed in alternate colors on different paper.

Quarter red morocco with green paste-paper covers and red morocco tips; leather spine label titled in gold; the added suite is bound in wrappers of the same green paste-paper with title in gold on front cover. Issued together in a green cloth drop-spine box with red morocco and paste-paper spine label, lettered in gold. Bound by Claudia Cohen.
