Binding
French 18th Century embroidered binding of green ribbed silk decorated with a needlework design of leafy sprays and flowers in gold thread, inlaid with 16 jewels (imitation). In the center of the boards, two hand painted portraits of ladies of the French court. Pink tabby silk on inside boards with a mirror pasted to the inside of the front cover. Pink gold stamped floral endpapers. In green oasis and lucite slip case with flap by Julia P. Wightman, stamped "19JPW63".
