200 of the prints comprising the collection are mounted into a large bound album, with the remaining items accompanying the volume or loosely inserted.
With a letterpress title page for Picart's "Impostures innocentes" (PML 140007.1) and a separate engraved title page for the series of prints after Charles Le Brun, reproducing decorations executed by the artist in 1650/58 for the ceiling of the Gallery of Hercules on the second floor of the Hôtel Lambert, Paris, issued as part of "Impostures innocentes," as "La Galerie de monsieur le Président Lambert représentant l'apothéose d'Hercule" (PML 140007.2).
Collection of prints, including proof states and independent impressions, from the majority of Picart's major books, including the frontispiece to his Ovid of 1732, as well as smaller illustrations, frontispieces, head- and tailpiece ornaments, marriage prints, coats of arms, invitations, and 27 prints (including some duplicates) from Picart's posthumously published suite of 78 prints after works by various artists, issued under the title: Impostures innocentes, ou recueil d'estampes d'apres divers peintres illustres / par Bernard Picart, dessinateur et gravure: avec son Eloge historique et le Catalogue de ses ouvrages (Amsterdam : Chez la veuve de Bernard Picart, 1734); also included is a series of 22 unsigned etchings of Amsterdam street life.
