Brought to a dealer in Luxor from Hū, ancient Diospolis Parva, according to Archibald Henry Sayce, who saw the manuscript at Luxor before its acquisition; purchased by Lord Amhurst Tyssen-Amherst, 1st Baron Amherst of Hackney, in the winter of 1905-1906; purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) in 1912; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).

Manuscript fragments from two leaves of a papyrus codex, a homiletic miscellany; written in Egypt.
Texts: generic ending of a homily on the recto of fragment (1); homily on the Nativity, attributed to a bishop of Caesarea (Basil?) on the verso of fragment (1); homily fragment, perhaps from one of the preceding on the recto and verso of fragment (2). Edited and translated into English by Crum.
Written area ca. 238 x more than 160 mm. Divisions: Title, divider, and paragraphus sign (zeta-shaped coronis) setting off major textual units; horizontal rule setting off paragraphs.
Script: Upright uncials. 10 lines = ca. 97 mm
Superlineation: Connective? Punctuation: Raised dot in conjunction with a space. Tremas.
Collation: No remains of signatures, quire ornaments, monograms, headlines or catchwords.
