Ms. book of hours for the use of Rome (Hours of the Virgin, Office of the Dead); written and illuminated in Lorraine, France, ca. 1490-1495.
Decoration: 4 large miniatures, 10 historiated initials, full borders on miniature pages; unidentified arms of former, and perhaps the original, owner on fol. 25v: azure, or a mount in base vert a pine tree proper, in dexter an escallop or, in sinister a lion rampant or, toothed, tongued; French Gothic style.
