Bound and signed by Johannes Guilebert (his erased inscription on the rear pastedown: "Desen bouc heft ghebonde Jan guill--rt de men heet meese Won̄----de frere strate"); 15th- or 16th-century dark brown calf over wooden boards, blind stamped with panels, two impressions of the binder's name (IOHANNES GUILEBERT), two compartments of paired monkeys or birds, and a border of foliage and fruit, separated by a second panel with four birds in medallions, edges gilt and gauffered in lozenge pattern, modern silver clasps.

A suffrage for St. Godeleva, an ownership inscription, and the binding point to a Bruges origin for the manuscript.
Artist: two artists, one whose style derives from that of the Master of Guillebert de Mets or the Gold Scroll Master, and the other influenced by the style of Willem Vrelant.
