Contemporary Austrian blind-tooled pigsking over wooden boards (40.5 x 30 cm), sewn on 4 supports by the Dominican convent in Vienna (EBDB w002390, active 1453-86, also know as Wien Dominikanerkloster or Predigerkloster); repaired. Plain endbands. Paper title label on top board. Furniture and 2 clasps, missing; former chain attachment on rear board.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials, paragraph marks and capital strokes. Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Contemporary manuscript quire numeration at the bottom-center margin of the first recto, and consecutive numbering of each sheet at the bottom-right corner.
