Both volumes: 18th-century English gilt-stamped red morocco over paper boards (33 x 23 cm), sewn on 6 supports for the Earl of Pembroke. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves with plain paper fly leaves; plain endbands; gilt edges.

Hand decoration: Italian white vine illumination in each volume (of slightly different styles), rubricated with alternating red and blue lombards. Annotations: vol. I is heavily annotated in a early Italian hand; vol. II has moderate marginal notations.
