The first two pages of the first movement are in the hand of Leopold Mozart, and the remainder of the movement is in the hand of a copyist; the second and third movements are in Wolfgang's hand.
The reading of the date, which has been heavily crossed out, is taken from Köchel⁶.
Originally bound with eight other symphonies in the so-called third Cranz volume (see Köchel⁶, p. 176).
