Executed by Jacobus de Auria of Bruges for himself in 1468; belonged to an Italian in the 17th century who gave it to his uncle Dr. Gennaro Vendennoso (inscription on fol. 194); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) in 1907 from Martini or from Canessa; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).

Ms. book of hours for the use of Rome (Hours of the Virgin); written and illuminated in Bruges, Belgium, 1468.
Scribe: Jacobus de Auria, formerly dean of the Church of Bartholomew; signed and dated on fol. 191v, which gives the date of completion as Nov. 20, 1468.
Decoration: 1 miniature in grisaille, 6 full-page borders; the first, on fol. 13, has the initials "I" and "A", possibly the scribe's initials,and arms in lower margin (sable a fess and 3 crescents argent).
