Formerly bound in grainy black leather with recessed medallion, pendants, and corners bearing a tan molded design of leaves and large flowers, now corroded around the edges; this binding is probably Indian work of the 19th century; it has been preserved; rebound by Deborah Evetts in a quarter green morocco binding with natural Irish linen sides in 1981.
