Written for Louise-Elisabeth de Francini (fl. 1646-1659), wife of Honoré Parfait; arms of Parfait on fol. 1r, his wife's monogram on fol. 25v and fol. 88r, between his own within a wreath; from the collection of Anne Geneviève, Duchess of Bourbon (1619-1663); given by the Duchess of Bourbon to the sister of the Abbé Saint-Albain; after his death passed to the comtesse de Graveson, who gave it (Aug. 7, 1829) to Toussaint Felix Jolly (1760-1829); owned in 1897 by H. Leclerc (dealer); purchased by J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) before 1913; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).
