Harry E. Carlson, who died in 1992, was Assistant to Secretary of Commerce, Henry A. Wallace, and a candidate for Governor of New Hampshire in 1948, losing to Sherman Adams.
Double-page frontispiece (ff. 1v, 2) with quarter-page illuminated 'unvans in Ottoman floral style in black, red, blue, green, and orange (rubbed). 30 section markers (juz) with various colors and designs. Surah headings in white on gold; gold dots between verse; ever fifth verse indicated by the word for "five" (hamsa) written in the margins.
