Monastery of Saint Michael (Dayr al-Malāk Mīkhāʼīl); found in 1910 near the village of Hamuli, Fayyūm Province, Egypt, at the site of the Monastery of Saint Michael; purchased in Paris in 1911 for J. Pierpont Morgan (1837-1913) from Arthur Sambon, a dealer acting in behalf of a consortium of owners including a certain J. Kalebdian; J.P. Morgan (1867-1943).

Text: A Homiletic Fragment of moralizing chracter. The recto deals with the moral conduct of women. A woman is addressed in the second person. Bathing with men is discussed.

Superlineation: Non-standard. Punctuation: ? Tremas?
Collation: Uncertain, but hypothetically the last leaf of the first quire of the codex (assuming regular quire structure in eights; inferred from the ancient pagination and the sequence of hair and flesh [the leaf is H/F]). No remains of a signature. No quire ornament, monogram, headline, or catchword.
Decoration: Headpiece.
