16th-century inscription at lower margin of fol. 1: Laurentij Pyocheti Camberian, who was Laurent de Piochet de Chambéry (died 1566); inherited by Jehan Piochet de Salins (1532-1624) (17th-century note Illuminated signed Sallin on front pastedown, with motto: en dieu la fein Sallin); Marquis of Aix ̉la Sarraz (inscription upper corner of fol. 1: De la Bibliothèque de M. le Marquis d'Aix ̉la Sarraz); note in Italian (removed from manuscript) from C(ostanzo) Gazzera, formerly librarian of Turin University Library to the Marquis, discussing this manuscript, which he had examined; Ambroise Firmin-Didot (bookplate on front flyleaf with the date of 1850; Dr. Lucien Graux; Laurence Witten, New Haven; purchased from Witten with income from the Lathrop Colgate Harper Trust Fund in March, 1963.
