Ms. religious and philosophical miscellany; written in Austria or the Czech Republic, late 14th century.
Texts: 1) Gospel according to St. Luke, with commentary by Nicolas de Gorran (fols. 1-191); 2) Tractatus (acephalus) de philosophia (fols. 192-204); 3) Passio Domini Jesu Christi ex Evangelistis collecta, with commentary (fols. 205-234); 4) Boethius, De consolatione philosophiae, with commentary (fols. 235-280).
Manuscript is written on eight different paper stocks with several Italian watermarks, among them the ox - Briquet 2739 - dated Udine, 1390, and circles - Briquet 322, dated Udine in documents of 1302-3, 1307, 1369, and 1376; also a cart - Briquet 3526, dated Likhalscheff, Russia, 1388) interspersed with vellum leaves.
All quires are of varying sizes except those between fols. 137-173 and 190-204, which are each enclosed within a vellum bifolium that is also written upon as part of the text.
