Notes
Wax-coated wooden tablets, all with Greek text; written in Egypt, possibly Maghagha, probably in the 6th century.
The tablets are 6 mm thick each; the sizes of the tablets vary from 205/208 mm. x 97/105 mm.; two of the tablets served as the covers, for only one side of each contains wax; each tablet has four drilled holes along one margin so that the tablets could be tied together to form a book--Cf. Twentieth report to the Fellows of the Pierpont Morgan Library.
