Summary
A lock of John Keats's hair, tied up with black string and sewn to a piece of paper with a signed attestation penned by Richard Woodhouse reading: "A lock of the hair of John Keats, which I cut off at Gravesend on Sunday the [17th] Sept[embe]r 1820 on board the Maria Crowther, just prior to leaving him. He was to sail for Naples for the benefit of his health on the following day."
