18th-century English blind- and gilt-tooled sprinkled brown calf over paper boards (30.5 x 21 cm), sewn on 5 supports. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves; decorative endbands; sprinkled edges.
Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary rubrication, red initials. Annotations: Contemporary marginal and interlinear notations, sporadic but heavy on leaves b1v-b3r, and foliation. Pen trials and drawings at colophon.
