15th-century German blind-stamped calf over partially-bevelled wooden boards (42.5 x 30 cm), sewn on 4 supports by the Benedictine monastery of St. Ulrich and Afra (Augsburg Benediktiner-Kloster, EBDB w000114/Kyriss 2, active 1470-1534); repaired. Modern plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; decorative endbands. 10 bosses and 2 clasps (per volume), vol. II missing 1 clasp and partial title label. Manuscript title and shelf mark labels (top boards).

Hand decoration: Contemporary Augsburg rubrication, red initials (where required); primary initials illuminated or hand-painted with typical foliate decoration; dated 1474 (part II, leaf [52]/7r). Annotations: No marginal notations in text. Vellum fore edge tabs with red letters.
