19th-century English gilt-tooled full green goatskin over paper boards (13.5 x 9 cm), sewn on 5 supports by Leighton (Brewer St. W). Plain paper pastedowns and endleaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.

Hand decoration: Contemporary French rubrication, red initials (most realized), paragraph marks, capital stokes, and underlining. Rubrics throughout in same hand. Signed at colophon with an elaborate cipher and inscription: "tourne a[?]non le xv.me sto. de septembre, iiiixx [et] x [i.e. 15 September 1490]," (leaf D4r). Annotations: Several saints added to calendar, including: Germanus, Bp. of Auxerre (31 July), Maximus, Bp. of Trier (13 Sept.), Quintinus, matyr (31 Oct.), and Eustachius et sociorum (3 Nov.); Sts. Christopher, George, Leodegar, and Sixtus added to litany (leaf z7r). Prayer, "Ecce venit rex occurramus obviam" (leaf [a]1v).
