18th-century English gilt-tooled citron morocco over paper boards (34 x 23.5 cm), sewn on 6 supports; repaired by Sanford & Clarke. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves, with plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.

Hand decoration: Illumiatined white vine initial and border with flourished byzants, armorial cartouche in bottom margin left empty (leaf [1]/5r); rubricated, red and blue alternating lombards. Annotations: Contemporary marginal notations, washed/faded but visible.
