Provenance
Unidentified French(?) inscription, partially trimmed away and inked over: "[??] que tarde [???] viendra Longin [???]" with a skull and cross-bones in the middle (leaf a1r); modern German pencil bibliographic notes (front pastedown); Pierpont Morgan Library, purchased from Lathrop C. Harper, 1928.
