19th-century gilt-stamped purple calf, with red and green onlays, over paper boards (18.5 x 13 cm.), sewn on 5 suppots. Purple gilt-stamped calf pastedowns and endleaves (matching covers), with plain vellum endleaves ruled in red; plain endbands; gilt edges.

Inscriptions/Markings
Hand decoration: Contemporary French rubrication, gilt and white initials on red and blue ground, line fillers, illustrations colored by hand. Annotations: No notations in text. Modern note that quire aa⁴ bound after leaf f8, but this is now incorrect -- probably corrected in rebinding.
