18th-century English gilt-tooled red morocco over heavy paper boards (33 x 23 cm), sewn on 6 supports for Harley. Marbled paper pastedowns and fly leaves with plain paper fly leaves; decorative endbands; gilt edges.

Hand decoration: Venetian illuminated initials on blue ground with white foliate decoration, alternating red and blue/purple lombards. Bottom margin of leaf [2]/1 torn away removing illumination, and repaired. Annotations: No marginal notations in text.
