Notes
Davidovich was a video artist and pioneer of artist-produced television in the 1970s and '80s. This collage relates to performances and installations in which he adhered tape of various sizes and textures to stairwells, walls, sidewalks, and television sets, paradoxically revealing surfaces by hiding them. The inscription, which specifies a particular type of tape, suggests that this may have been a study for a performance in which he covered a television set broadcasting electronic snow with clear tape.
