Summary
Drawing shows the poem's titular hero standing in a garden in the foreground, surrounded by toppled and broken flower pots, with a drawn dagger in his hand as he shakes his fist in a rage at the backs of a retreating young couple at left; the central design is surrounded by a series of marginal sketches showing Sir Guy in various attitudes of anger and despair, with a sketch at head of an erupting volcano.
