Morley Esqr. of Halsted in Essex. drawn at Down: Hall by his own desire in this character.; beyond decorative mount at upper right in graphite: 45; on verso at lower left: He sat to Sir Godfrey Kneller for his Picture, in the background of which is a / Butcher, carrying a sheep. - it was engraved by Simon - [?]id the Print [illegible] me R.B.; beneath this: He was first a Butcher. afterwa[rds] [effaced] in England. he used to kill a hog every [illegible] [cut off].
