Watermark: letters "GAF" in double walled paisley-heart shape.
This drawing is a parody by Domenico Tiepolo of his father Giambattista's painting The Triumph of Flora, commissioned by Francesco Algarotti for the Dresden court in 1743 and now in the Fine Art Museums of San Francisco. Here, the nude figure of Flora in the painting is replaced by a young lady in contemporary dress escorted and received by Punchinellos. --Exhibition Label, from "Tiepolo, Guardi, and Their World: Eighteenth-Century Venetian Drawings"
