Notes
Formerly attributed to Giuseppe Cesari, called il Cavaliere d'Arpino. Arpino 1568-1640 Rome, and to Baccio Bandinelli, Gaiole in Chianti 1488-1560 Florence.
Description
The sheet entered the collection with an attribution to Baccio Bandinelli, with whose graphic style it does not agree. The drawing appears to be Florentine in origin, dating from the second half of the sixteenth century.
